Brizzi was very good in the 2nd half today. A lot of folks figured that it would take him a few weeks to readjust to the speed of the game. He may be figuring it out.

Huffman is a stud. No flash, just effectiveness.

Reed and Logan have tremendous upside over time. Skog is solid.

It's going to be a lot of fun to watch Bobby "Buckets" Durkin for the next few years.

Brizzi, gradually settling into the Davidson offense. He gets in trouble when he reverts to what guards were asked to do at Villanova, (lots of isolation, one on one, back down in the post). When he lets the game come to him and not attempt to be flashy he is effective. His natural position is the point.

Logan was a force on defense. Boxscore had him with an impressive 3 blocks, but I swear I counted 4.

Cats were 19/22 on 2 pt field goals today. I know many were Grant, Kochera, Skogman driving for lightly contested layups. But that’s still impressive efficiency. Some things really starting to click with our motion, the guys are executing it quickly and sharply.

The Cats are currently a good team. They will become very good when they learn to play defense and make foul shots.

Wright State easily drove to the hoop and there were too many wide open buckets given up.

57% Foul shooting is not going to win close games.

We should buy Skogman are hard hat and lunch pale. He puts his head down and contributes. I hope he sustains this level of play.

Often surprised to see our rear seat coaches set forth a litany of purported flaws in the lads’ game performance, even when we have won a hard fought contest. For example, “… learn how to make foul shots.” COME ON MAN! We have recruited some of the smartest student athletes, working with some of the best coaches in the land so the occasional absence of good success at the foul line is not attributable to this perceived lack of proper shooting technique. Instead, its is a happenstance of the game of basketball’s natural ebb and flow. Therefore, I say drink the Kool-aid and enjoy the vicarious experience of being a true witness to athletic prowess that surpasses every other comparable institution of higher learning, including the Davidson of the North, Princeton.

Beautiful game, second half 14:32-11:20. Best 3-minute stretch of basketball this season? I love how Durkin demanded the ball. Sean Logan was a disruptive menace.
