13) First comes spring and summer, but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again. . . . It is the responsibility of the gardener to adjust to the bad seasons as well as enjoy the good ones.

I'd vote for Chauncey Gardner today.

1). Given the number of newcomers on our team, and all teams for that matter, the standard deviation for predicted wins this season has to be quite large. However, based on the discussions of “who starts” (and some pre season reports I’ve read) the starting value doesn’t feel too high— maybe 13. I’d like to see the exhibition game to get a better feel of what’s in the playing deck. I wish there was more rumors about some of these newcomers starting.” or playing significant minutes.

I’ve got to believe a guard is in or real close to the top 3.

Yeah, if the only “locks” for starters are truly guys who were role players on last year’s team, it’s hard to believe that the season results will be better than those disappointing results. I’m hoping the starters and most productive players are disproportionately newcomers.

And it seems to me that the most successful Davidson teams put lineups on the court that feature three really good shooters. For all the hustle and value they bring to the court, the highest-PT guys returning from last year’s squad aren’t really good shooters. If three (or four) of them are playing together for a lot of minutes, I don’t see how the offense becomes dangerous.

Brizzi for sure and either Durkin or Adam will start. Rikus, Moss and Loughnane will contribute.
