Good opportunity.
Re: 2023-24 Schedule
Rumor I heard was that Clemson said they would participate if they could pick their opponent.

Possibly we will get an updated OOC schedule during tonight’s zoom meeting with Coach. Here’s hoping.

Re: 2023-24 Schedule
Nope. All we learned was that Northwestern and Temple backed out on potential home-and-home agreements. Evidently, schools have been too tied up in building rosters and securing NIL deals, and they haven't paid much attention to scheduling.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
Re: 2023-24 Schedule
Both the ACC and A10 have 15 members. That means 1 school in each conference is idle one weekend during the conference schedule.
The ACC supposedly owes the A10 some games to compensate the A10 for letting the ACC use the Barclays Arena for the Jay Bilas Memorial New York Life ACC Tournament* every 4-5 years.
There was a guy who works for the A10 in men's basketball who attended the Bob McKillop/Tubby Smith event in Greensboro. He should be on the phone with the ACC trying to arrange 15 ACC vs A10 games on weekends this year. Duke usually plays St. John's, but that was Coach K's passion, not Coach Scheyer's.
*When the ACC Tournament is played in NYC, Jay Bilas thinks he's died and gone to heaven. When the ACC wedges their way into Madison Square Garden, he will ascend to heaven.

Re: 2023-24 Schedule
Last year's game put me in a bad mood. We have a terrible record against UNCC and they weren't good last year. The game ended in a wild scramble and they came up with 2-3 loose balls on the last possession and took an open 3 to win the game.
We had 4 killer games last year: the UNCC loss, the losses to Delaware and Northeastern, and the loss to George Washington.
We shouldn't schedule home and home series with any CAA schools except UNCW and CofC. We play enough road games in the Mid-Atlantic.

Re: 2023-24 Schedule
I'm glad ACC schools don't think that way about their OOC scheduling. If they did, we'd never get to play Duke, UNC, Wake, or NCSU.
Oh, wait . . .

I believe State will only play Davidson in Raleigh. I can see Duke on the horizon.
