I think he will be. A great Dane, that is. Not an Israeli.

I assume he couldn't bear his former team.

Or maybe, back in October he couldn't bear his former team?

Have we ever had an Israeli? Country cranks out quality basketball players, could be worth a look.

P.S. I know Jake Cohen is NOW an Israeli Citizen

Jake got his Israeli passport while at Davidson. He played for Israel’s national team one summer (U20?). There was an article in Ha-Aretz at the time that wished him an outstanding rest of his Davidson career, but not so good that he would play for the NBA. The hope was for him to return to Israel to play there after his Wildcat days. As you know, they got their wish.

European leagues have a limit on number of Americans on teams. Dual citizens don’t count toward that. Several Wildcats have benefited from that opportunity. Besides Jake there were also Sophia and Nik (Canadians being also in that same limit.

My Y chromosome suggests Viking ancestry, so there may be some Danes on my family tree, but more recently that Line was probably Norman French. When white supremacists brag about their Anglo-Saxon heritage, I tell them that my folks beat their sorry lot over 900 years ago, and it’s time they got over themselves.

I am part Alsatian, too.

Eric Minkin '72 moved to Israel and played for the Israeli team that was featured in the recent movie. He's back in US, maybe in Florida.

Back of the envelope, do we just have Nate’s scholarship available next year or are we sitting on one this year?

In March of 1990 I had dinner with Bob McAdoo and Mike D'Antoni after their Milan team had played. D'Antoni told me he was playing on his dual citizenship as an Italian because of his grandparents. This allowed Milan to have a third American -- Orlando Graham IIRC. They were in first place. btw -- D'Antoni said he was recruited by Davidson before he chose to stay in his home state with Marshall.

Desolate Mrs. Carter entered the starting lineup for Villanova in his fifth game as a freshman.

Riley Battin is playing a lot for Utah and is actually third in scoring for the season despite playing sparingly the first two games. In the four games since then he's averaging 25.5 minutes and 11 points per game.

Andrew Platek has not played double-digit minutes once this season.
