Its become pretty clear that outside of Tyson the team is not going for wings. I'm guessing (and I'm usually wrong) we're all in on around 3 PF or Center recruits (Luka Brajkovic, Riley Battin, and Donatas Kupsas come to mind).CatsUpNorth wrote:Adam Thistlewood just committed to Drake, was supposed to visit in September. Also with his super hero level wingspan and good height (6'5 right?) I think Mike Johnson will play alot of the 3 (defensively at least if it doesn't matter offensively).BDL wrote:Its become pretty clear that outside of Tyson the team is not going for wings. I think he's a wing in the sense that he's an off ball perimeter player, but a different type of wing than someone like Hunter Tyson. If we're going off of classic positions (which don't really matter in a McKillop scheme) David Cz is a 2, Michael Jones would be a 2/3 and Hunter Tyson a 3/4. I've made mention of Jones' wingspan myself but having watched him play he's definitely a perimeter playerstevelee wrote:Still watching the pot.MrMac wrote:24+ hours of silence on the Basketball threads. Is the common assumption here that David Cz will play the wing position?
I'm just wishing for that second cutter, like Tyler was his senior year. Someone that doesn't get tied up coming through the lane, can catch the ball in the paint, and make a decision that gets us a basket (2 or 3). As tall as we seem to be getting at the 1-3.5 position, I am hopeful.
If we can land two of the remaining three that I am salivating over, I won't need as much kool-aid as my body will start producing it.

From what I recall of camp, David could fit that description. Anybody else remember it that way?MNCAT wrote:I'm just wishing for that second cutter, like Tyler was his senior year.
