Can't decide how many we should take in 2018? With no one graduating in 2019, we need to leave a few for this time period.

The movie The Bed Sitting Room listed its cast members in order of height, from Ralph Richardson down to Dudley Moore, as I recall. I would suggest that pattern as priority for future offers, multi-talented though Moore may have been.

My take is we need at least 2 bigs ASAP. If 3 bigs on our list want to come I think we take all 3. If Tyson wants one a scholly is his. If he goes elsewhere we may use one on another wing. Plus, with 6 to give we could look for an attractive transfer after next season. So, we use at least 4 this year, maybe 5. If we're very lucky six guys who are so good that the staff can't say "no" to any of them will all want to come to DC.

Q- Bates was offered a ride by some DI schools. Is there some sort of understanding that he may/will get a scholarship in the future?

Agreed. We really need Battin and Tyson. They're polished, well experienced recruits at need positions. We offer them a great teacher, staff, education, student body and a chance to win a10/ get NCAA and pro experience

I would love to get a 3 and 4, and Tyson and Riley would be great additions to the team and to the college. I hope that we sign 5 this year, adding a 5th who is a consistent rim-protector, a real defensive and rebounding presence. I see Riley more as a true 4.

We graduate 6 guys this year. We'll sign a large and talented class.
It seems like we are the frontrunners for Luka (fingers crossed). Hopefully from there we can land both Tyson and Battin but realistically 1/2 would be amazing. we should try to land another big after that no matter what. Then for 2019 we would have 1 or 0 schollies left but someone may transfer (basically you never know what may happen).

Reported offer to 6'7" wing Adam Thistlewood, who will be taking an official visit in the first week of September. Holds offers from a number of Colorado and midwest schools, only other official visit is scheduled with Drake.

Anyone have the time/knowledge to update this? Last update I could find was from October.

Clearly we have a lot invested in landing Battin, as emphasized by the above quote, while a Vanderbilt website wrote this the other day: https://www.anchorofgold.com/2017/8/14/ ... heir-lists
Inside, there are currently a bunch of bodies with Clevon Brown, Djery Baptiste, Ejike Obinna, and Yanni Wetzell, but Simi Shittu is an obvious take regardless of the roster situation. Battin would be another body up front if Vanderbilt feels the need to take another big man.
Hopefully he realizes how much he is wanted and how well he would fit in our program.

I made some edits to the above two posts. Nothing that the two of you did, but thought it would be better not posting all the quotes as they could be harmful.
