So we are starting to see 2020 offers. We have not heard much about 2019. Makes me think that there is a lot going on to which we are not privy.

We will only have 1 senior scholarship player next year. With Bates getting a scholly there won't be many to offer (we don't count on guys transferring out like some do).

Looks like a scoring savant. "Please come (from) Boston--or Andover--to the Wildcats...."

Do we have an open scholarship as well?

Let's not post this without confirmation. There has been various reports that this isn't the case.

also interested to learn, in the event you have a player who financially does not need the scholarship but is a preferred walk-on/player, isn't that the best outcome? you can save a scholarship for another player.

The best outcome is the one that adheres to TCC. It is the foundation and cultural currency of DC basketball.

We had conversations like this when Matt and Brendan were being recruited.

Iowa has a 4 star walk-on, his last name is McCaffery. I think Trey Tinkle is on scholarship at Oregon State.

McCaffery has just been placed on scholarship for his SO year by his father, the coach.

Agreed. Until it becomes official we have 2 schollies for next year (1 open and 1 is Ekwu’s spot).

Actually, I counted up the years of our recent offers (10 in total) and 5 are 2020 and 5 are 2019. 2 of the 2019 are smaller (6’2/6’1) guards, 1 is a 6’6 wing, and the other 2 are 6’8+ forwards.

?? we have two 2019 offers (one for a player we don't appear to be in the mix for) and three 2020 offers, two this past week. Not trying to question or talk down to but am curious if there is something I am missing here.

2019: Roddy, DJ Burns (offered way back, has focused on other schools seemingly)

2020: Dallion Johnson, Ben Carlson, Justice Ajogbor
