Recent article on Demuth, he goes in depth on his offers from South Carolina, Iowa State and Florida State, with the article inferring that Iowa State is in good position for him. http://www.hoopseen.com/news/player/201 ... can-demuth

Lots of good recruiting news, and WFTC keeping up everything is also good news.

We have never signed a player from Greensboro Day School. GDS has had a great program for 40+ years and their coach, Freddy Johnson, has won the most games of any NC high school coach. Freddy has been a friend of the Davidson program since the Eddie Biedenbach days. Jason Zimmerman was an assistant there.

Maybe Mike Fowler can be the first of many.

Looks like we are still in on Luka Brajkovic as a 2018 player, as he says he likes us the most of the schools recruiting him, enjoyed his visit and wants to make a decision soon. I had falsely assumed him staying in Austria for another year meant he was going to go pro, but he still wants to play in college: http://scout.com/college/basketball/rec ... -105726899
“Schools, currently I’m looking at for example Davidson,” Brajkovic told Scout. “They are currently the most attractive place to me.”

“It was great,” he said of his visit to their campus. “I really liked the coaching staff there. It’s been great.”

Is calling him the next Jakob Poeltl a lazy comparison? The ultimate one that got away.

Just visited Tallinn in May. We were pleasantly surprised. as it was our first visit to the "Baltic States", which are now under some pressure by the presence of @ 10,000 Russian troops on their border. Hope he gets out and gets by the new visa restrictions.

Luka is from Austria. He's in Estonia for this tournament.

If Russia decides to try to prevent students from leaving Austria in '18-'19, college basketball won't be our primary concern.

Apparently legal entry to the US is to become more difficult. I have no idea how it will turn out- or how it will affect students.

Who was the young man that Coach sat next to during the scrimmage last night?
Bob in the huddle during timeout: "Don't listen to BDL!"
Matt: "Coach, that's BDF."
Bob: "What?! There's two of them!?"

Probably Michael Jones. See above. The visitor was wearing a Sanford Paragon shirt. Read the blurb on Jones.

2018 offer G Andrew Taylor committed to Furman over us, Belmont and Wofford. Said in an article opportunity to play right away was key for him. Best of luck.
