Davidson lost to W&M in the championship of the Iron Duke Classic in December, 1981. Davidson beat Duke to reach the championship. Keith Cieplicki was a star for that W&M team.

W&M defeated Auburn with Charles Barkley to advance to the finals.

Mr. and Mrs. Citycat were there. WFTC says he was there, too.

Note to Dr. Bliss: This looks like a scouting opportunity for us. I will bring the NIL $$.

I hope the coaches are watching this kid:

Colt Langdon. 6-8, 235 sophomore at Raleigh Millbrook. Saw him play last night. He's the real deal. Good shoulders. Excellent footwork. A little foul-prone, but relentless with the basketball in the post. Nice three point stroke.
Davidson has reached out to Colt Langdon.

We need to do more than reach out. We need to tell him he's our next Steph.

Hunter Tyson of Parkwood High was a kid we reached out to. He went to Clemson instead. Clemson's basketball history is no better than Davidson's.

Tyson was the 47th pick in the NBA draft. That means he's rated a better prospect than Lee, Sam, Luka, Peyton, Jon Axel, Kellan, and Matthew Hurt of Duke (He was the 12th ranked prospect in the high school class of 2019, played 2 years of college ball, and wasn't drafted.)

We don't sign many top prospects from NC, especially from public schools. It would be nice to change that.

If we've just reached out recently, we're late to the party. I hope we reached out, offered, begged, etc. at least a few months ago. He has offers from some excellent programs.

How long does a summer decision from admissions take? I know it's a holiday today, but CastleCat threw this name out on June 17.

It's going to be fun to hear the Belk crowd cheer for this kid: "Ri-KUS! Ri-KUS! Ri-KUS!" Maybe a small group of fans could practice this outside of the Admissions Office...?
