Has had an impressive HS career and played AAU with Team Curry. Strong, skilled 6’8” post player who can also hit jump shots. Has interest from other A10 schools including Loyola and Richmond.
If DC is going to use its last scholarship, I could see it going to a possible Mennenga successor. Strong might be a nice candidate.

He looks like more of a bruiser than Sam.
More like Anthony Mason.

I saw Sam on campus last Spring. He's one of those big guys who is proportioned like a point guard. Rare.

I don't know how well Australian or Euro ball pays but I could see Sam as a solid TE on an NFL team. He looks like he fills the Moe Allie Cox template.

7’00” Braden Pierce is no longer available. He has committed to Maryland.

Still no Davidson mention. Oh well.
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
I would be surprised if we use our last scholarship on a big considering our depth chart for next season (Sam, Skogman, Bailey, and Logan are all presumably back). There's just not a lot of available minutes at the 4 or 5 as things are right now and then you gotta figure that Logan will improve and push for more playing time as well.Acorn wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:57 pmhttps://mobile.twitter.com/CoachJonesMP ... fx340tAAAA

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
If they all come back, all make significant improvements, and at least one of them makes a huge leap forward, we'll be fine. Anything short of that and we need a player.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see DC use a scholarship on a big. In fact, I expect it.
