Add Rowan Brumbaugh to the 2022 interest list.

He just picked up an offer from Richmond.

Rowan Brumbaugh top 6 coming. Haven't heard Davidson connected to him in some time and his recruitment has really exploded.

Davidson is not included in his list.

I will always be puzzled by the guys who choose Northwestern. Recently we’ve had interest in Miller Kopp & Robbie Beran who went there. And I’m sure there are a number of others going further back but I don’t have the energy to do the research right now.

Choosing to play for a perennially 12th place team is so silly to me. I get they’re one of the few power conference teams with high academics. But there’s still Stanford, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, most of the Big East, plus you can get a world class education at most state schools if you put in the time. (Yes even at UNCheat). If you don’t feel like you’re good enough to play at a school like Michigan or Kentucky, then why not pick an Ivy or a school like Davidson or Richmond where you can focus on academics AND be the best player on the team AND play in meaningful games in March.

If Vic Law had not gone to Northwestern there was a decent chance we would not have had Peyton Aldridge. When Law committed to NW Chris Collins had his forward and quit recruiting Peyton. Law was higher rated than Brumbaugh. I just looked at New England Recruiting Report rankings for 2022.
Brumbaugh ranked 12. Reed Bailey ranked 8. #s 1,2 & 3 going to UConn and Duke. 4,5,6,7 have not committted.

The education is great but its really a pathetic program, literally 1 tournament appearance ever.

That one appearance earned Chris Collins an 8-year contract extension. He brought back four starters from that team and finished 10th in the conference. NW then finished DFL the season after that.

The good news is that Northwestern is improving. They have gone 14th-13th-12th in the last 3 years. At that rate of improvement, they will hang a Big Ten banner before Nebraska or Rutgers.

Northwestern did manage to reduce the list of schools to have been eligible for every NCAA Tournament but who have never earned a bid to 4. William and Mary has come much closer to ending that streak in recent years than Army, The Citadel, or St. Francis (NY).

I am afraid that the Tribe might have missed its chance. CAA tournament finals appearances in 2008, 2010, 2014 & 2015. Then fired the coach, I guess for losing in the finals too much. Consecutive quarterfinals losses the last two years and first appearance in a playin game in a decade.

My wife keeps asking me why I expect anything different. I am beginning to wonder that myself. Lucy is always going to pull the football away.

Langdon Hatton looks like a good player (incoming) and so does Jack Karasinski. W&M has also offered Sean Logan, but, I hope that doesn't work out for them.

Based on the below from his UAA team, it appears that Davidson is not heavily involved with Ben Roy.

Ben Roy has committed to Boston University.
