Dennis Hopson was an NBA champion with the Bulls in 1991 (much in the same way Quinn Cook and Jared Dudley are NBA champions). By the end of 1992 he was playing in Europe where he stayed for ~10 years. Hopson is now the head basketball coach at Lourdes University, an NAIA program outside of Toledo.

Des may not be the son of a coach, but nephew of a coach/pro is a pretty darn good background. And it's gotta be cool to say "my uncle won a title with MJ and Pippen," even if it's stretching the truth a bit.

Dennis Hopson was a great college player. Big Ten player of year and 3rd pick in 1987 draft. I'm a little bit more excited about Desmond now.

Nick Andersen, the Wake Forest walk on DB who intercepted 3 passes and had many tackles against VPI, graduated from Centreville High School. He played for a state champion basketball team. Perhaps Chris K did, too.
