2020? We're done, I thought.
Or is he thinking about being a walk-on?

A very good question. However, I thought I should bring him to people's attention since it evidently came from a very recent story on Albany-area TV. For myself, I have still not seen anything definitive enough to believe that Frampton's scholarship may not be up for grabs. I'm obviously open to correction on that.

I would say walk-on.
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Over the years, there have been several players who were contacted by Davidson and thought we were still recruiting them, but we had lost interest.
Colgate may have room for him because Evtimov is transferring from there to go to WCU.

Evtimov is headed to Colgate per Verbal Commits
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
My bad. I misread your post on the transfer thread.
Colgate is an underrated school academically.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Preferred walk-on perhaps? Like what we did with Bates.
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Evtimov left WCU after the Fall semester ended and enrolled at Colgate in January. He's included on their roster. He should be eligible when exams end this Fall or earlier.

Matt Langel at Colgate is the son of one of my best friends. He is building a formidable program, and he'll be recruiting against us more frequently. New gym on the way. He could be the next Bob McKillop, passing up bigger jobs to be a part of a real community.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Son went to Colgate after being recruited at Davidson several years ago. While no surprise to this board, DC staff's ability to recruit was leagues ahead (even before the A10) of anyone we came in contact with but was really impressed with the then young staff at CU and thought they'd do as well as they have based on what we saw of the other Patriot League coaches. However, facilities and fan base looked like detriments to long term success (not sure they'd have gotten over the hump with out his childhood friend sending a big ten quality 6'10" player) so always figured he'd cash in his chips as soon as he had them at Colgate particularly after I heard they were runner up to Lange at St. Joe's. That player's now in the portal so we'll see how they do next year. Syracuse is no Charlotte but with a new gym and with the struggle of that same childhood friend at NW, maybe the right move to shoot for a Camelot north. Interested to hear they're getting a new gym which seems necessary to compete with Bucknell (and the other PL schools) and to keep that staff from heading back to Philly. If Donahue leaves on his own terms at Penn would be shocked if Langel isn't offered and more shocked if he didn't take the job at his alma mater. BTW your best friend couldn't have been a better ambassador for his son, school and staff; a real class act.

A 6’10” grad transfer from Colgate just committed to Cincinnati.
