Ben Carlson has scheduled 6 visits. None of them are to Davidson.

I’ve obviously been asleep at the switch, so I’m just now getting to this. Grant Huffman is the son of an old high school friend and basketball teammate Craig Huffman. Craig was our purest shooter and basketball player on a basketball team of otherwise all football players who went to the Ohio state Final Four in the ‘84-85 season. I’ve not seen Grant play, but if he’s like his daddy, y’all are going to be very very happy.BaseRich306 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 11:17 amGreat news. Seems like he was ready to blow up, then suffered a bad ankle injury and came back under the radar. That's classic Davidson formula and has certainly worked out well for us with other players from Ohio (Gibbs and Aldridge, if I'm not mistaken).
Does anyone have a sense of who we are prioritizing for our other two spots? I assume it's still Dallion and Justice, but those guys seem to be hotly pursued, so curious who else we're really liking.
He also serves as an offshoot of sorts from the North Canton Hoover - Davidson pipeline famously and spectacularly established by Dick Snyder and ignominiously continued by me.

Myles stute. Vanderbilt

Went to watch the first game of Poca's fall league today. Happy to report that Isaac McKneely looked really good. He has indeed grown a couple inches, seems none the worse for wear from the injury over the summer, and his shooting seems to have gotten even better than it was last year. Poca also has a point guard who transferred in this year, which should allow Isaac to play off-the-ball much more this season, which could translate to a big year in the scoring column.

Another larger conference school that Davidson is (arguably) better than in CBB. Recently, we have lost recruits to the following schools (College Sports Madness Top 144 ranking):
Clemson (65)
Penn State (68)
Oklahoma St (81)
Utah (111)
Incidentally, Notre Dame is 75.
Davidson - higher than all of them.

Washington State, too. Malachi Flynn chose the Cougars over Davidson in 2016. He played there 2 years and transferred to San Diego State. He suits up for the Aztecs this season. Washington State's only recent periods of success were when Kelvin Sampson and the Bennetts were there.
There's a team or two in every major conference that can't win in basketball or doesn't try. Rutgers and Nebraska are two more. Oregon State hired Montana's Dick Tinkle. His son Trey is trying to pull the Beavers out of their funk.
Some of the P5 schools listed are having a temporary bad spell. Wake Forest is experiencing a 9 year stretch with 1 NCAA bid. They don't want to be added to the list, but not enough to change their coach.

Washington State was another option for H. Lee as well.
