Seen a lot chatter that he'll head to NC State.Wildcat92 wrote:How about this kid Ian Steere? Four star 2018 center who just decommitted from Creighton. He's from High Point, and evidently wants to be closer to home.
In my personal experience, Davidson was exactly the right distance from High Point. My mom could visit easily, but had to call first to make sure I would be there before she made a 1.5 hour drive.

"Microphones are for Navy guys"... Ranger H.
Florida State and South Carolina are on him, so lets hope for the best. In terms of a backup plan he is pretty darn good. 6'9 PF with inside/outside touch, would fit very well with what we try to do. Landing him would take a lot of the sting away from losing out on Battin.RichmondCat wrote:Looks like Duncan Demuth is the guy.

In fact, he is not a backup plan... He is very good with a lot of good schools after him, hopefully we've been on him for awhile.BDL wrote:Florida State and South Carolina are on him, so lets hope for the best. He recently took an official to Princeton, so, academics clearly on his mind.

Seems like more of a big than Tyson but more of a wing than a big than Battin. Wondering if the staff sees him more as a big or would want to continue pursuing big men (outside of Luka).RichmondCat wrote:Davidson offered on August 1 according to the below:BDL wrote:In fact, he is not a backup plan... He had early offers from Florida State and more recent ones from South Carolina and Iowa State, but it seems like his recruitment has moved more towards other schools (like the Princeton visit), and Gregg Marshall at Wichita St. came in to see him this past week. Princeton has an awesome recruiting class so they concern me a little bit, Wichita St. is also an appealing option for basketball reasons, but other than that it's hard to gather who we might go up against (Richmond was also just in to see him).
Also in a paywall-protected article from this summer when he was asked about his big offers, he said going to a big school was not something he was worried about, just primarily interested in a fit, which is always a sentence we want to hear.
