One of my daughter's HS friends left Rice to work in admissions at Columbia this year. She's sharing a tiny apartment with 2 others so I doubt she'll be implicated.

Is there any speculation that Bilas’s son is one of the phony athletes whose admission into an elite school was purchased by his parents?

Look at his career stats at Wake Forest.

This has nothing to do with him omitting Davidson from his list of the 68 best teams.

I'm still baffled that people bought their way into Wake. Honestly, is there really a ROI there?

If people were "buying" their kids way into Stanford, USC, Texas, Georgetown, Wake Forest and Yale....more is about to come out I am guessing. You can bet on it that they were also buying their way into Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Duke, etc.

Didn't Baru get to CofC with some sort of walk-on attachment?

People have been buying their kids' way into those schools for years for ages, just legally and openly. Or as a legacy, you didn't have to come up with the cash up front.

Baru’s HS host family included 2 basketball playing sons. Cremins gave the oldest a scholly. The second later became a walk-on. I think Patrick Brannon was the scholarship recipient.
