Anomymous dude is known to a few, apparently. As I understand it, he has no connection to Davidson. I read that he's a physician.

I would be interested to know how many people in the arena last night know where Steph went to college versus how many know where Durant went to college.

I vaguely think he was at Texas for a year. But I wasn't at Oracle last night.

5 games seems pretty inadequate to me if youre going to be punishing the coach for using strippers to try and recruit players to your program and you have a history of allegations of violations. NCAA must really prioritize integrity.

You are aware, aren't you, that Louisville is facing a lot more than a Pitino five-gamer? They could lose the '13 title and have the NCAA claw back all the tournament money for several appearances.

Presumably, the NCAA would then forward the money to UNC, with apologies for besmirching the Holes' reputation for years and hurting Ol' Roy's recruiting.

And Cleveland State would heave a sigh of relief.

Yep i saw that theyre going to have some scholarship restrictions and recruiting restrictions going forward. Potentially the 2013 title being stripped. Taking away past wins always seems inadequate to me personally though, we all saw them win those games taking them away wont change the impact the cheating already had. If they do take away their wins and say they cant count their first round win over us in the 2012 tournament that wont make the loss hurt any less.

In general I feel like the schools or the players get the punishments from the ncaa and the coach for slips by with a slap on the wrist.

Guy needs to be flown in and featured at a game in Belk this year.

He needs to be on the FRONT ROW.

His having no connection to Davidson makes it even better for me.

From https://www.si.com/college-basketball/2 ... ampionship:

Pitino, who was charged with "failure to monitor" his program and suspended for five ACC games, appeared deeply aggrieved in Louisville's 12:30 p.m. press conference. One of the first things he said was, "I've lost faith in the NCAA and everything I've stood for, for the last 35 years, with what they just did."

Apparently faith isn't a zero-sum game. I might've gained what he lost if he'd been banned for five years instead of five games.

Pitino's crisis of faith leaves me strangely unmoved.

Maybe he was in med school with some Davidson guys.

Maybe a colleague gave him the shirt.

Maybe he just watched the 2008 run and became a fan.

Hopefully, the other ACC team that wears light blue will get it much worse. Ain't holding my breath though.

There will be a 1 scholarship per year reduction per a number of sports...probably avg 2-3 years. Hatchell will get hit for lack of control, whereas she will get fired/retired. They would have let her go a couple of years ago, but saving her to be their "fall guy".

Basketball may lose one, perhaps two titles and the athletic department will probably pay a fine.

Guessing that should do it....I expect early July for announcement.
