Ric Pitino remains his classy self - calls out his own players by name for their shortcomings, calls St. John’s facilities “shitty”. Shameful!

“I was yelling at the refs, Dan. I’ve yelled at the refs my entire college career, my 15-year NBA career,” Barnes said. “I coach AAU in the summertime, I have high school boys, and I have a 5-year-old coming down the pipeline, so I’m going to be doing a lot of yelling at the refs."
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Doug Gottlieb busting on someone's shooting form? Hilarious. This is a guy who, though he played point guard, was frequently pulled late in games so that the opposing team couldn't foul him. He was comfortably under 50% from the line. And the player he's trying to help is Caitlin Clark. You can't make this up.

“I’m unaware of the current condition of the individual..."
Sounds like a whole lot of current.

I'm trying to figure out which of the two, Gottlieb or the electric transmission guy, are stupider.

First time I've heard of the one guy. The other has some solid history. I'll vote Gottlieb.

Over 40 years later? Gerry Born should file. And Steph.

The folks involved in these lawsuits must hate college sports.
The Houston players should be in the lawsuit as well.

This is going to bring a huge amount of collateral damage to college sports. If this is successful, I see no hope for the financial survival of the NCAA, which is already on the hook for $2.8 billion. I hope people are formulating a plan to administer the 22 sports other than D-1 football and basketball after the dust settles.

Once the money is drained away to pay football and basketball players, past, present and future, all that will be left is club/intramural level competitions for most other sports. I could care less about Olympic sports, but those who want the U.S. to win gold medals won't be happy when college sports no longer serve as the training ground for Olympic athletes in the U.S.

I predict this will all come to a head when the country faces economic reality. Once fiat money ends some sanity will take place
