SMH. It shouldn't be that hard to not say stupid things.
No limit on stupid
I mean, think 'em, sure. We all think stupid things. But if your profession involves people sticking microphones in front of you on a regular basis, learn how to decide which of those stupid thoughts ought to just remain thoughts.Dr. Bliss wrote:Not if you're Cam.slowcat95 wrote:SMH. Ditka hasn't made much sense for years. It is regular, old, seen it for decades dementia? Or the new got it from playing football dementia?

In football there were no black QB's for waaaay too long. Many of the powers that were truly believed blacks weren't smart enough to play the position (If Terry Bradshaw can play QB it doesn't require that much intellect).
I read something written by a Bronco when Marlin Briscoe was a rookie. The player was amazed by what he could do at QB. The team moved him to WR so he asked to be traded. He never played QB again.

I had about 50-50% boys and girls in our Explorer post in the 1970s. And in youth groups I've had plenty of coed camping trips. So this doesn't seem completely strange to me.wildforthecats wrote:https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/bo ... ut-n809836
I hope this doesn't hurt the Girl Scouts' programs. I have also supported and helped with them, though not in the leadership capacities I had with the BSA.
Oh, and as a pastor, I was a member of the United Methodist Women. I haven't checked to see if that extends into retirement.

"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
