I found another newspaper article about David Skogman in which he says his collapse was due to an episode of ventricular arrhythmia (not sure whether it was ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia). His own mother, who is a nurse, helped to resuscitate him with a courtside portable defibrillator. He now has an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) in his chest, and he is good to go. As far as I can tell we would need for another scholarship to open up for this to be possible, so it would require Lee staying in the draft or someone else to leave the team.
