I'd love to land Chris Ford.

Seems like a guy who would bring a new dimension while still having a high basketball IQ. Interesting trying to find information on him this year, since North Meck has a huge 2020 prospect on their team, and Ford does not score a ton of points. Also have not seen anything reported regarding his recruitment.RichmondCat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 11:34 amFor sure.

That’s right, I do recall now the Draymond comparisons.CatsUpNorth wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:28 pmInterview with Chris Ford's high school coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OyX8Ur5F7w
Does not talk too much about the players or their recruitment so I don't suggest watching. BUT, he does compare Chris Ford to two players: Draymond Green and... De'Mon Brooks![]()

Then there are the players for whom it is not even a four-year decision.
Given that the average life expectancy of football players in the NFL is 53-59, "a 40-year decision" seems cruelly optimistic.
There are plenty of basketball experts who would look at Draymond's height and conclude that he is too small to be an effective forward. Those experts are wrong. They'd also be wrong about Chris Ford. Shorter guys can be very effective at our level. Guys like De'Mon or Noah Dahlman or Kyle Hines or Willis Hall. And they can be effective at a considerably higher level, like Grant Williams at Tennessee. Local kids Willis Hall and Grant Williams would have really helped Davidson. I hope Chris Ford gets the chance.wildforthecats wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:30 pmThat’s right, I do recall now the Draymond comparisons.CatsUpNorth wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:28 pmInterview with Chris Ford's high school coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OyX8Ur5F7w

Don't even need to look outside this A-10 season to find good examples. Marcus Weathers and Trey Landers are two of the best forwards in the league this year, both listed at 6'5".i77cat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 10:41 am
