Host families are great for international students, and not just the athletes. And people I know who have done it found it quite rewarding, too.

Where did Schulte end up? I, for one, liked his potential and think the team could use a bruiser in the post. McAuliffe struggled with the speed of the college game in his first two years but was a valuable contributor off the bench in his last two seasons.

He looks to be training back home in Germany per his Instagram.

He has transferred to UC Riverside per his instagram.

There were people who thought Davidson v Gonzaga was relatively equal for a transfer. Gonzaga is markedly better for basketball past, present, and future. And dollars.
