We did a lot more than offer. We did to Malachi what Dave Pritchett did to Moses Malone.

The effort we put into Malachi made Washington State offer him. He had siblings who had gone there on athletic scholarships.

It looked like we had too many guards when Jason Morton left Richmond, too. There was room for him with a scholarship and on the court, too.

Lots to sort out with all the changes going on right now.

Now through April signing day will be interesting.

But more than just a scorer, Jones often ran the team, doled out assists, rebounded strongly for a guard and was a tenacious defender. He sees his strengths as his shooting, his length and his basketball IQ.
I love those two sentences.

interesting to see very little news flow on Bryce Golden. Most announced transfers already have an ascribed list of teams in pursuit. I assume ACC opportunities are limited bc of transfer restrictions? Does anyone have a sense as to where he might end up or if he would make sense to pursue (we have one roster spot available).

One of my dad's favorite memories from my high school days remains the parents' night game with an arch rival who had a guy who liked to elbow you in the ribs in a crowd. He made the mistake of doing so to one of my buddies who was a starting safety in football who's dad liked to give us boxing lessons. He stopped, calmly put the ball down, and administered one clean shot, which abruptly dropped said elbow thrower to his knees and split his cheek right in front of the cheerleaders and parents' night section (complete with younger siblings and grandparents). If you did that today, you'd make the blotter, but you'd still be legendary.

Saw this buddy at a reunion a couple years ago and he's appropriately now a psychiatrist.

I would venture to say that Pitt is likely still in play, since they made a fairly splashy hire in Capel.

That's my guess as well.

Yea I’m sure Pitt still in it but you’re going to be the ACC dormat for 2-3 years. Plus easy to not be coaches guy long term. Why not go to an on the rise program in Davidson. Lot of playing time; it’ll be good to have him because our guys have a hard time staying healthy

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but JAG’s younger brother has committed to St. Louis.

Verbal Commits has nothing yet. Eurobasket says he's 19yo, 6'7", and is scoring 10.9 ppg and pulling down 3.5 rpg. That becomes more impressive when you see his team is 13-9 and the other starters are: 30, 29, 27, and 23.
