Up next: the transfer portal
Re: Up next: the transfer portal
So, now we have the resources to compete, and we are STILL losing good players and striking out on recruiting targets while our annual results do not improve.
Don't know about you, but if that were my record, I'd be worried about my next performance review.

hey, try running an IT company, or worse, try running an IT office in India.

Good players are entering all the time. Bobby is now #60.

Stop whining. Accepting mediocrity is brutal. What place did we finish in the A-10 again?Wildcat92 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 2:53 pmSo, now we have the resources to compete, and we are STILL losing good players and striking out on recruiting targets while our annual results do not improve.

As far as I am concerned, excluding Reed Bailey - everyone should realize they are replaceable if they're not performing to standard and expectation. Every other P5 player knows that level of expectation. Expect it of our team too. Don't complain about losing a 5pt/game average player. CB funds means we are motivated and have capital to invest in the best team going forward.
NCAA more or less allows me to drop off cash + a Rolex in a bag now. I wouldn't drop that bag off at Loughnane's house, ever.
Stop setting your sights or hoping for marginal players from lower tier conferences. Change can be good on the margin. I don't want to be in the basement of the A-10 anymore.

I understood it, and agree we should not accept mediocrity.

What percentage of Davidson Men’s basketball scholarship recipients do we expect to also get a Davidson degree going forward?
If I set the over/under at 7%, what do you take?

I’ll take the over. On a related note, I anticipate a serious talent upgrade to our roster next season. GO CATS!!

This is incredibly disappointing. Disappointing in the extreme. Time for a major reassessment of this staff.RichmondCat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 9:18 pmReed is entering the portal.

Looks like a full rebuild now unless our guys opt to take small money to stay at Davidson. Wouldn't bet on it.

You will be able to roll a cannon out in Belk, fill it full of birdshot, point it towards the stands, shoot it, and not hit a soul.

Ridiculous. Tournament teams are losing entire rosters to the portal. It's a sign of the new NCAA and not a sign that we need a new staff. JB take your negativity elsewhere. It's not helping.Wildcat92 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 9:30 pmThis is incredibly disappointing. Disappointing in the extreme.
