Our defense improved in part because Sean Logan picked up many of the minutes David Skogman couldn't play due to injury.

Sean went from 11 blocked shots in '22-'23 to 58 in '23-'24. As a team, we went from 362nd to 155th in blocked shots.

Hunter contributed nicely to our block total last year too. He “only” had 12 but given his minutes that is a pretty high rate. I recall some of those being in key moments and changing momentum. He makes some great plays on D.

Those two guys combined for 175 points. I hope that they'll at least double that offensive output.

Sean is so so so good defensively.

If he can take a step on offense, aggressively finishing around the rim, I am super excited to see how good he can be.

He didnt qualify based on MPG for the list (17.5 out of the needed 20). But his block % (% of opponent 2 pt shots he blocks when he is on the floor) was a ridiculous 12.9%!! This would've been a top 70 season across all of college basketball in the last 15 years

I trust many of you were among the 250+ viewers of Matt’s Zoom call tonight. If a team’s performance were based upon the coach’s enthusiasm for his players, Davidson would be in the Final Four.

He said that from Sean’s arrival here to now, he has gained 33 pounds. That is no surprise based on how he looked to me this summer.

And he's grown an inch taller. Also, I noticed his mother was among the Zoom participants, as was Michael Loughnane's.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
