Didn’t LeBron have Lue run off in Cleveland?

I believe it was the opposite. He ran someone else off to get to Lue. Sounds familiar.

David Blatt was the Cav's coach the first year that Lebron returned to Cleveland. The cavs made it to the finals before losing in 6 games to the warriors. The next season Blatt remained the coach of the Cavs through mid-january when he was fired despite having the best record in the eastern conference. Most of the talk at the time was he was fired because Lebron did not respect him as a coach or get along well with his personality. Lue, who had been an assistant on the team, took over after the firing.

Lebron didn't run Lue off; he ran off himself. Lue was fired after the Lebron-less Cavs started poorly in '18-'19.

Lue is becoming the new Larry Brown. Sign a long term deal. Get fired. Get hired before the money from the first deal runs out.

When Luke Walton was fired, there shouldn't have been much consternation about who the new Lakers' coach was going to be.

Maximum Security just won the Kentucky Derby to be disqualified on a nonsense horse interference call. First time this has happened in the race's 145 year history. Let 'em play!

"The general public was never going to accept the winner of the Kentucky Derby being disqualified because hey, they saw him win and they didn't see a foul when it happened."
Kinda like watching hoops, except when one basketball player's dangerous movement causes another player to break their leg, the injured party doesn't get put down. The stewards' job is to keep racing clean. To ignore fouls, no matter how many ignorant yahoos are watching, jeapordizes the welfare of the horses.

The welfare of the horses could be worse than it already is?

Sadly, yes. Derby quality horses have it pretty good. The other 99% have crappy lives. But even for them, rubbin' ain't racin'

Actually Wilbur had it pretty good. Though the idiot spent most of his time with the horse. (Which of course was one of the running gags for the adults, we kids didn't get it)

The Dodgers' catcher who climbs the batting cage is John Roseboro. Seeing the sliding Mr. Ed was the scariest day of his MLB career until Juan Marichal beat him with his bat.

After many years of academic and professional life, nothing matters but the immediate problem in front of you. No one cares if you know there are 100 Senators and 435 Representatives or that Alpha Centari is the closest star to the Earth other than the Sun.

If you go to bar trivia, then those facts matter.

Nicholas says he votes in every election and that he has lived in 6 different places since 2005. If he lived in 6 different Congressional Districts, he would have voted in the same district twice because there have been 7 Congressional elections since 2005. He should have noticed the the same candidate on the ballot 2 elections in a row. (It is possible a challenger beats an incumbent in the first election and doesn't run for reelection, but that is very rare and would have created a lot of news coverage, which Nicholas should have seen/heard.)

In his defense, he can't be a hoarder. You can't move that often and pile up extraneous stuff.

Davidson required Physical Education credits in my era. Why not have one fewer PE credit and have a required course entitled, "Stuff You Need to Know to be a Functioning Human". Students are required to know how many Senators and Congressman there are, how often elections take place, where and how to register to vote, and where the red and black jumper cables go.

Seamac77 can teach basic meteorology. He can explain why you should get in a ditch when you're outside and a funnel cloud appears. Stevelee and Dr. Bliss can teach music appreciation.
