This is unusual since it hasn't been reported beyond the kid himself and one source without many followers, and there is very little information available on him. I agree. After all, a kid can write anything he wants on Twitter. Might be a poser but his size and build match stevelee's description of a prospect on the Hoops Camp thread.

New Scout article/interview with Andrew Platek, with a heavy UNC focus, although he was asked about his Davidson visit and said this:

He seemed to really love the UNC visit and scrimmaged with Ray Felton and Tyler Zeller, who were pushing him to commit on the visit. He's visiting Stanford this week and says he plans on committing in late August/early September. It was great. Coach (Bob) McKillop wasn't actually there. He was in Colorado for USA (Basketball). The other McKillop was there and he showed me around and he did a good job, because he said he doesn't usually do it. It was great.
I got to meet the entire team. The assistants and I spent a good amount time with Coach McKillop and watching film.

Is this legal? We have been admonished repeatedly to avoid any appearance of encouraging a prospect to sign with Davidson.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
I wondered that, too, but I defer to UNC since they surely know the rules.DC69Wildcat wrote:He seemed to really love the UNC visit and scrimmaged with Ray Felton and Tyler Zeller, who were pushing him to commit on the visit.

Brad Davison update:

No Davidson mention. Jerry Meyer says he had thought Davison would go to Wisconsin. Now he thinks he'll go to Stanford. I also saw on a Wisconsin board that many of their fans agreed with this prediction and even borderline agreed with such a decision by Davison.

Totally legal and we are doing the same thing.DC69Wildcat wrote:He seemed to really love the UNC visit and scrimmaged with Ray Felton and Tyler Zeller, who were pushing him to commit on the visit.

"He is a 6-foot-3, sweet smiling, fun loving boogeyman who will decimate entire teams, then sign autographs and take pictures with his fallen foes' children.
He is a question with no answers."

Luke Loewe (2017, no reported offer) took an unofficial visit to Davidson Friday, as well as visits to St. Joes, Rutgers, and Elon earlier in the week.

As I have mentioned earlier in this thread, a plugged in Wisconsin hoops reporter predicted for 247's crystal ball that Loewe would end up at Davidson even though he had yet to receive an offer, something he wouldn't have done unless Loewe made it clear he was very, very interested in us. Also noteworthy that Kellan Grady follows him on twitter.@lukeloewe23 wrote:

So I do not know how legitimate this is since ESPN's recruiting coverage isn't what it used to be, but it lists Jairus Hamilton (who has been mentioned in this thread before but not in a long time) as having received an offer from us. I can't find anything linking us to him or reporting an offered scholarship and he hasn't mentioned us as a school recruiting him in any articles, but I'm curious if we are still recruiting him. He is currently ranked 48th overall on the ESPN 60 for class of 2018.
