Well it saves on a lot of other expenses by building new, from the ground up. It also gives us a facility to play in until the new one is built. The field would fit on the Richardson site, but there is is no room for the fieldhouse without tearing down Jackson Court, eliminating Hobart Park, and cutting down a whole bunch of really big trees. I finally clicked on the tab and saw the 5000. Yes that could hurt but in the current configuration it looks like end zone grass may be available for overrun. I have been at Navy and Wake games where the end zone hill is easily filled with 2 - 5000 more fans.
