Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

They are switching everything. We get a big on their little, feed him and end up with our big shooting a pathetic effort that barely grazes rim. Twice.

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

We can't stay in front of them on defense. Just driving right to the hole.

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

Our bench has 2 of 25 points. GMU bench has 19 of 26.

We're shooting 32% and 30.8%. Ugly.

GMU 40.7 and 44.4%

Apex is only halfway point if release point is 10' off floor.
yes,

I also suspect that air resistance should also make a drag (likely imperceptible) which moves the apex slightly closer to basket.

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

Lazy pass, lazy on the catch, steal by GM. Reid lazy back on defense and his man races past him to dunk the miss.

This. can. not. happen. Gotta give effort.

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

Grant and Reid with a duo brain fart gives up an easy layup vs set offense. Gotta talk. Watching Reid early highlights during break. Love how he is setting himself off the 3 line in order to catch and step up on his three. Makes it so much easier to shoot. Didn't look like goal tending. Coach is wro...

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

Spadone in great defensive position. Initially good, but doesn't keep knees bent and bumps dribbler for a bailout foul when he was in trouble. Knee bend. Need more knee bend. And then beat for jumper. His poor defense is due to legs nearly straight. Bend em. == Grant with a late clock short jumper. ...

Re: In Game: vs. George Mason

We hit a cutter!!!! Late, but hey. Relish it for the rarity.

And then we passed out for the open 3! Wow. Attacking the rim opens up the three. Who knew?!

Re: In Game: vs. VCU

We got to 49 points (40-49) at 9:19 left. VCU really turned up the defensive pressure after that, ran smart offense, and made the critical free throws. Good finish by them. We made some really careless turnovers and our shot selection down the stretch was just awful. A big disappointment. We didn't...

We.ve had 3 turnovers for the game, none of them against the press.
If we do the same things vs VCU's press, it will be so ugly we'll need new terms to describe it.

Re: In Game: at St. Louis

I believe the term for that Skog 3 would be dagger. Or dagga.

Re: In Game: at St. Louis

We have no clue how to break a press. Don't run into the corner to get the inbound. Don't wait for them to double team you. Arrrggghhhh.

Re: In Game: at St. Louis

The failure to get that ball inbounds is due to our failure to use screens properly.
