Re: It has come to this - Camelot is Gone

My sister in law’s mother was one of 5 children who grew up on the outer banks. When her grandfather died he left the ocean front motel to one son. He left Oden’s Pier (fishing) to another son. He left the oil company in Manteo to the 3rd son. Each of the girls got $1000. I guess they were expected ...

Re: Portal

How does Buie’s Creek compare w Iceland?

I didn’t say Grindevik (sp?) because Buie’s Creek has never been consumed by lava.

Dayton did get a commitment from former Buckeye Zed Key. He’ll be an effective A10 big man.

Re: It has come to this - Camelot is Gone

There are many barriers to achievement. IIRC there is a greater correlation between high income and high test scores than just about any other factor. Poverty, poorly educated parents, single parent households, incarcerated parents, and tons of other issues can make it harder for kids to do their be...

Re: Wildcats' Coach Leaving?

If he gets good enough players he’ll do fine.

But will the fan base have such grandiose expectations that they’ll never be satisfied? If history is our guide they won’t be satisfied.

Re: Steph update

Surprising to me, 24 times NBA players have made more than 6 threes in a game w no misses. On the list is noted Tarhole sharpshooter Sam Perkins, who once went 8-8.

Steph was 6-6 from 3. That qualifies as highly efficient.

Re: Portal

Campbell’s Australian wing, Anthony Dell’Orso, is in the portal. As a sophomore he averaged 19 ppg on 38% from 3 and 48% overall.

Apparently foreigners on student visas are limited in NIL opportunities. I wonder if he’s one we will be interested in, and whether we would have a chance.

Re: Welcome Kyra Bruyndoncx!

Eddy turned pro in 1965. He last won a race, or a stage of a race, in 1976. He did enough in six amateur seasons and 12 years as a pro to be considered the GOAT.

The only reason I knew how to spell his first name is because we had a bike w his name on it when I was young. 😋
