Re: In Game: at St. Joe's
Could not disagree more with the nepotism comment. Matt was the top assistant to a guy that had a pretty successful run at Davidson. The fact that Matt is the son of that coach is not a negative as far as I'm concerned. I don't mind continuing a system and a philosophy that's been very successful fo...

Re: In Game: at St. Joe's
turnover by Durkin when he was given the ball in the corner when no one came to help, turnover by Bailey, missed layup by Bailey, turnover by Conner and that's how you give up a lead.

Re: In Game: at St. Joe's
after the first two possessions, Logan travel and Durkin forced to shoot late in clock (as often happens) we have done a nice job of finding open shooters.

Re: minus one
If Sean doesn't hone his three point form (shooters generally aren't created-see Grant Huffman) it would be fine with me if he just never attempted another three. Bailey may have the potential to be a better three point shooter, but his percentage isn't encouraging. Angelo really needs to up his per...

Re: minus one
Graveline makes a great point. Skogman was shooting the top of the key 3 with great accuracy, and that completely changed our offense. (An offense designed to take 3 point shots). He was also a.decent low post scorer, and gave us a physical presence. He could get contested rebounds. Sean would have ...

Re: In Game: vs. Loyola Chicago
That last drive by Connor was pure guts.
Better guard Norris. He can shoot.

Re: In Game: vs UMASS
Very good analysis, CatRom.
I would change just one thing: Matt is already obsessed.
Obsession only gets you so far.

Re: Up next: Loyola
Anyone who watched Loyola beat Dayton last Friday night probably wouldn't think we should be favored.
I guess it's because the home court has been so good to us this year against upper tier A10 teams.

Re: In Game: vs UMASS
After watching the replay: Connor was great until the last eight seconds. His forced airball was luckily rescued by Sean. After Sean missed the front end, Connor get the long back rim rebound but had his layup blocked. The guy who blocked it (Duggins (sp?) I think) then threw it back inbounds over h...

Re: In Game: vs UMASS
I complimented Frank Martin in his turtleneck from my seat behind the scorer's table. He said thanks, his wife picked it out, he would tell her. Not content to quit while I was ahead, I later shouted: "Hey Frank, you don't really want to play in the Mid-America Conference, do you?" He didn't respond...
