Re: Portal

Keyshawn Hall is in the portal. Can't beat him, but maybe we can buy him. My neighbor asked me what I would do with the payout if I won the current NC lottery, which has surpassed $1 billion. I unhesitatingly said I'd give $25 million to the Davidson collective, so we wouldn't have to worry about a...

Re: Up next: at A&T

Because I have not endured enough pain today, I will likely be in attendance with a JAM1. Hopefully nobody steals his balls this time. While we were heading out, a foul ball flew out of the stadium in our direction, resting just short of Yanceyville Street along the curb. JAM1 trots over and picks ...

:D We'll have to rebuild player-wise, but I'm eager to see Coach Craft get started.

Somebody at First Pres Sylva must've read this, because Chris showed up in his Davidson jacket when he sat with his mom Sunday morning.

Great choice to put a coda on this game and the season!
A Dead Dog Day for sure.
My brain immediately went to when they used to call in the dog not long after the under-8.

Re: In Game: at St. Joe's

About a year ago, I was at the national AGB (the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities) conference in Texas. By far, the busiest, most-crowded session (and the one with an armada of raised hands afterwards for questions) was the session led by Power 5 conference legal counsels...

Re: Vonterius Woolbright

Furple eliminates WCU in OT. Didn't expect that. The final line I saw was Furman by 1.5 points. Hard to beat the defending champs. Hard to lose that game to Furman. Also hard to lose your coach the next day. ugh. https://www.wbtw.com/news/grand-strand/conway/ccu-names-new-mens-basketball-head-coach/

Re: Vonterius Woolbright

The NC legislature needs to eliminate WCU's $1000 tuition. If UNC Asheville and WCU compete for students on equal footing, UNCA will start to get back on a firm financial footing. I have a son and a son-in-law who are WCU grads. I'm very happy with the school, but not enough to subsidize it so it c...

Good luck. Not sure y'all can get by Samford.
They're gonna be a tough, tough out. But--drinking some kool-aid here--they sat three starters (sickness, rest, apparently?) and got thumped by Wofford. A guy can hope. :D

Vonterius Woolbright

The WCU Cats are a four seed in the SoCon this weekend, but it's been a special season up here watching Vonterius Woolbright's stand-out senior year. He's easy to root for: fun to watch play, great guy off the court, exactly the kind of student you want wearing your jersey. The SoCon has lauded him ...

Re: WCU-Samford

Second half was ugly from our side. Samford will be tough to beat in Asheville.
