If we simply accumulate enough NIL money to keep the high school players that we recruit when they get good enough to jump in the portal, I think we will be fine. The latest interview I saw posted w Coval left me with the distinct impression that his playing status for next year is now a toss up. We shall see.

Given how the game has evolved in recent years, I don’t think a mid-major like Davidson can really be competitive relying on a point guard who only offers up good defense and quality ball distribution. According to Warlick’s high school coach, he is the ultimate team player whose only goal is winning. Warlick, who is known for his relentless intensity and physicality, led his team to back-to-back state titles. He sounds like a perfect fit for Davidson.

I know one thing for sure. To get back into consistent A-10 contention, we need more upperclassmen like Aldridge, Gudmundsson, Gibbs, and Brajkovic. Those guys were flat out winners. TCC.

The Belk Report on Twitter/X reporting that Colgate portal guard Braeden Smith, who we have apparently been pursuing, is leaning toward Gonzaga. Can’t say I’m surprised. He’s from Washington state.
