Re: Post Season Banquet

It occurs to me that one of the true losses in this new world of college athletics is the loss of community and long-term friendships and relationships that are formed along the way in the trenches and in the gyms. Completely. I feel for the players that they (no matter where they are) will miss ou...

Re: New Football Stadium and Track

Random question - did opening the new Gamechangers Fieldhouse free up a lot of office/admin space in Baker? If so, what is that space going to be used for? Or am I misunderstanding how much space Baker has (Besides being in Belk for basketball games, I have no clue what any other space in that build...

Re: Portal

Virginia just passed legislation for Virginia Colleges to pay money directly to athletes…hopefully soon colleges will control NIL? Easier to raise money for the Endowment and let the school allocate funds to athletes…. At a minimum, it should allow some amount of NIL to be regulated/controlled. My ...

If Zach becomes US President someday we will brag for decades about his attendance at Davidson ... even though he enrolled for only one year.
I bet we'd brag about him even if he just became a US Senator or a cabinet secretary. Looking forward to seeing him play and what he brings to the team.

Re: Portal

Does anyone have any more info they can share (PM would be great) about what happened with Brizzi? Maybe it's not any more complicated than it seems on on the surface, but what a huge bummer. Same. I really hope (if he's truly not coming back), that he finds some place to land that works for him. T...

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread

There was a transfer prospect on campus this weekend. Not sure which one, but coach Matheny told me coach McKillop was in the Soda Shop with a player they hoped to bring on. The weather and the campus were SPECTACULAR this weekend, so I hope that helped. Soda Shop close. Hopefully that did the tric...

Duquesne wins by 4.
Looks like it was well worth the $40,000 per starter in NIL money they paid.

Re: Portal

How far in the portal do you have to go to not be able to go back where you came from? This is a great question that I would like to know the answer to. My other portal related question is- If you enter the portal, are you officially off the team and asked to clear out your locker? I imagine this v...

Not unexpected at all, but this one really, really stings. Clearly I was holding out lots and lots (and lots) of hope he just wanted to hang out at Davidson for a 5th year.

Re: 24-25 Roster

I think Skogman and Grant are just going to graduate, and Reed will stick around depending on how much NIL we offer him vs. what other schools (have likely already) offered him.

Re: 24-25 Roster

Starters: Brizzi Connor Buckets Reid Skogman Would be strange for Skogman to go through all the senior night activity to come back, no? It would be very exciting for next years group. I would be surprised, but I believe Elle was celebrated on senior night for the womens team and decided after the f...

I agree with the quicksand comment. How is anyone really supposed to compete if your team can get invited to this Players Era tournament in Vegas, where each team participating gets $1 million, with another million to the winner? https://frontofficesports.com/new-mens-college-basketball-tournament-n...
