Re: Up next: the transfer portal

I think our near future options are 1. Fight and kick to get into the Big East now that we have a "pot of gold". The A10 is going to be crushed and become AA minor league. Embrace and join the Big Leagues 2. Sit down with the Ivy League, Patriot, etc. Embrace academics. Form a new entity. The colle...

Re: Resources

Methinks if Lee, Mennenga, Dez, and the others didn't bolt y'all would be singing a different tune. Devastating loss of personnel that we have not recovered from. Some folks could make an argument that we shouldn't have been surprised that they left, but it's something very hard to plan for. Frankl...

Re: Resources

Some people in this country love to make everything about race. It has proven very divisive. I believe there’s a better, more productive approach. Some people live life unable to not have most things they deal with be about race whether they want it to be or not, which is sort of the damn point. I'...

I do believe that in general the school considers particular talents and intangibles along with GPA average and SAT scores. Otherwise, we would be front loaded with geniuses. This board provides ample evidence to the contrary. "I am wounded but not slain. I will just lie here and bleed a while then...

Look it is what it is you want to criticize me go ahead- but every place or team we compete there are smart academically driven players and on the margin coin flips- just every once in awhile having a player who can help program should be given chance regardless of prior school or background. I jus...

any new NEW news? No, but cool to point out that Michael Jones was getting alot of interesr from Stanford before he picked us. If the day works out according to plan, I'll go watch Mr. Jones play Saturday afternoon. I can post news after that ... but I think you were hoping for "New" commit news. D...

My point is that some fine schools accept kids who meet the NCAA minimums. That is more common now that many top recruits only stay in college one year. They aren't there long enough to flunk out. The point about the W&M graduate is that our admissions staff screwed up. That young man would have gr...

One of our assistant coaches left to become an assistant at Vanderbilt. He was assigned to monitor the academic progress and test scores of one of their recruits. The recruit was taking the ACT. When the assistant coach received the kid's score, he was worried. It was way below what Davidson needed...
