Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread

Is anybody able to share a sense of how David Kristensen compares to Luka? Not thinking in terms of specific skill set, really just a top-level sense of how we think he stacks up.

Micah Potter transferring from Ohio State. Somebody we were interested in as a recruit, no idea if we would be interested now. Two years of eligibility remaining. In a case like this, when does he become eligible to play games for whatever new school he chooses? At the end of fall semester 2019, or...

No clue as to the credibility/reliability of the source, but this would be a huge hurdle to pass in possibly getting a commitment. https://twitter.com/DavidsonMBBRecr/status/1028838726351433728 The tweet says David Roddy already scheduled official visits with Colorado State and Northwestern, suspec...

I still think that Luke Frampton is the most intriguing piece of the puzzle, not just for the upcoming season, but for the next several years. It feels like he has the potential to be a game-changer, and if that turns out to be the case, the sky is the limit for this team. If he is revealed to be a ...

Watched some video of SA. Clearly, the level of competition is not the same, but my thoughts were that his 3-point shot reminds me of Kishawn, and his inside game reminds me of Peyton. Nice looking player. Also, after yesterday's "difficulties", it strikes me that "Silas is Golden" takes on new mean...

Re: Jones

Thanks! Now do we have to keep KP from coming down with arthritis to have a point guard? Or do people feel like JAG can grow into that role? I feel like JAG has tons to offer in that role, and expect him to keep getting better. There are valid critiques that have been offered on this Board that inc...

Disappointing, but moving on. Fortunately, the season keeps getting closer, and this one holds a lot of promise. Excited to see them hit the court!

We cannot know why young Battin chose Utah over us, unless he tell us, and that's not going to happen in any truly revealing sense. For whatever combination of reasons, he preferred Utah. Best of luck. Wanting to view the glass as half full, I'm going to hope that Hunter Tyson's decision will have a...

It feels silly to constantly try to find the worst in things, or to assume that others will. If my memory of regular attenders' comments is correct, D Block historically has done a fine job of celebrating the international backgrounds of our many basketball players from abroad. Assuming that is corr...

Oh, and VCU and Dayton will be perfectly fine. Davidson, too. I almost expect the Wildcats to thrive without the volume shooting of Jack Gibbs. The ball will move more, and that's how McKillop's teams thrive. This comment I agree with, wholeheartedly. They'll be fine, and we'll be fine. I do think ...

Guys that will play the 4-5 in 2017-18 Will Peyton Bates Oskar Dusan Nate Guys like Uncle K and Luke might sneak in at the 4. '17/'18 is all about staying healthy. If we do, we'll be fine. We've been trained to shudder at the thought of staying healthy, though! I think our guard play and depth will...

Magoo came on at the end of the season. I see him having a very good senior campaign. Very true, but for the first part of the season he played like he didn't realize he was 7'0 (or 6'10 or whatever). He needs extensive work on going up hard and catching the bal and of course attacking aggressively...

As it is we only have 1 proficient post scorer... we need a rugged, low post scorer. Id be over the moon if we get Reuter but I also would be happy with Ryan even though he doesn't fit our exact needs. Hmmm, are you referring to fall 2017 or fall 2018? I feel pretty good about next season, with Wil...

Would seem unlikely that we would take a transfer who played the 1, 2, or 3. I feel really, really comfortable with our roster at those positions for the next 3-4 years. Any transfer should be a 4/5. Even if they only could give us 2 years, that would be worth it (a la Will Magarity). Barring a last...

Ok what if question What if you could get another will Magarity or Luke Maye to transfer? Vs a true frosh with last scholarship? What would be more impactful? If the transfer was a genuine "big" and had 3 years' eligibility remaining, and was of that quality, I would go with the "bird in the hand"....
