Re: GM
What does it signify? What is the job description? Where does the position get shoe-horned into the leadership hierarchy?

Re: Clunie Email re NIL
We're Davidson. Let's be different. Any thoughts in our eclectic and distinguished alumni bartering goods, services, or enrichment opportunities to our young athletes (instead of cash) as NIL inducements: Riding Lessons? Guided Tours? Fishing Junkets? Latin Language Tutoring? Whitewater Excursions?...

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27
Matt praised Hunter's leadership and his enthusiasm. He said Hunter exhorts the other players and offers advice nonstop and Matt occasionally has to say, "Hush up, Hunter. The coaches need to get a word in." (I'm paraphrasing, but you get the gist of it.)

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27
One thing that stuck out for me was that Sean Logan has gained 33 pounds since he came to Davidson as a freshman, and has grown an inch. With his added size, his confidence has soared. Oh, and that Manie Joses is freakishly athletic. Matt spoke about his vertical leap: they couldn't measure it becau...

McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27
Matt just wrapped up an hour on Zoom with his report on the state of Davidson hoops as the fall semester begins. I know some of our group were in attendance and if they choose to do so, I'll let them lead off because I was distracted by a pesky alleycat who wanted attention by walking all over my ke...

Re: 2024–2025 Davidson MBB Scholarship Players
I’d guess that Kochera and Bailey are virtual locks to start. One of Logan or Hurlburt in all likelihood. Durkin probably starts. But that leaves one spot and a need for a primary ballhandler. Blums? Laput? Coval? Loughnane? Do two of those guys start and Durkin comes in as the sixth man? Durkin wa...

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
With the signing of Roberts Blums, I assume he's the last of our signees for next season, and there won't be any other smilin' sunglasses from wftc. So will this thread go on summer hiatus?

Very, very impressive. Love his shooting stroke. This is the best news I've read on this board in a long time.Acorn wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 2:56 pmHighlights from this past season: https://youtu.be/miq3jThjERg

Re: Portal
Keyshawn Hall is in the portal. Can't beat him, but maybe we can buy him. My neighbor asked me what I would do with the payout if I won the current NC lottery, which has surpassed $1 billion. I unhesitatingly said I'd give $25 million to the Davidson collective, so we wouldn't have to worry about a...

Re: Portal
Isn't the portal somewhat analogous to declaring for the NBA draft? Some guys do it to test the waters and gauge the interest out there but then don't pull the trigger and decide to play another year at the college level. Moss, Spadone, or Rikus could opt to stay put if nothing panned out. Or am I j...

Sorry to hear the news; this seems to get the way of the world these days. I have been afflicted with CRS ("Can't Remember Sh**") and so I'd like to put you on retainer to help me recall names, birthdays, doctor appointments, when to feed the dog, etc. PM me with your requirements for remuneration.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Congratulations on your retirement MrMac. I’m a good number of years ahead of you in that regard, but I can assure you that you will be quite pleased once you get adjusted to your new lifestyle. Cheers! That is reassuring, as it has mostly been disorientation for me and MrsMac. Our most common ques...

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Do such creatures exist? We already draw in the net to try to catch: 1) academically gifted students who: 2) fit into the TCC team philosophy. Looking for senior late bloomers would be trying to find a segment of a subset. I doubt that many are out there to be found in today's modern HS game when co...

People who are relatively new to this website and unfamiliar with the oddballs who post on it would look at this thread and think we are ... well, odd.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
There are a few grainy videos of him on YouTube. He looks big, versatile, and mature. Looks like he's playing against real men.
