Wednesday, 7 pm. Phoenix All-Access for video. Derek Smith will have the audio.
#300 at #181. 13%. 60-73.
After today's win at Hampton, Elon has a 3-4 record, including 3 losses against top 101 teams.
Currently rebuilding/reloading. Gone are 4 of the top 5 scorers from last year's 25-8 team. No seniors on this year's squad, and there are 5 true freshmen plus a redshirt freshman. Juniors and sophomores get the most minutes, but they play lots of people so their depth is young.
Balanced attack with 5 players averaging around 10 to 12 ppg. 3rd leading scorer Ariel Colón, a 5-10 guard, averages 11.2 ppg and 7.3 rpg on 10-21 from 3-pt land.
One common opponent, App State. They lost on the road by 3, we lost at home by 3.
Phoenix freshman Kayla Liles and Wildcat junior Andrea Robinson went to the same high school.
49% 2FG, 30% 3FG, 69% FT. Minus 2 on the boards, 18 topg.

Probably their best returnee - Graves, was lost for the season against North Carolina. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

If you look around the Schar Center link you can find where Steph and Seth and their wives gave Sydell a wedding gift. |

You will however, have to go early, before security shows up in order to see it. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

Delayed start on the video there, now working fine.
Both teams man-to-man.
Under 5 timeout, 7-6, Elon. Six turnovers for them. Three for us. We've missed a bunch of easy shots.
End of 1st qtr, 14-13, Cats. Ten Elon turnovers and we're plus 7 on the boards. We've taken 24 shots, they've taken 10. They're 3-4 from deep, that's keeping them close. Sarah with 7 pts. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

2nd qtr, under 5, 25-21, Elon. Katie to shoot a pair after the timeout. Both teams still ragged, Cats continue miss some good looks.
Halftime, 32-31, Elon. Sarah missed most of that quarter with 2 fouls. Offense looking smoother and faster overall, but we are forcing things too often. They play better on the ball D than High Point or Princeton, but they also help a lot so the drive and kick is there.
Sarah has 7 and 5 rebs and 2 stls. Katie, Cassidy and Kianna each with 5, and Katie has 3 asts and 2 stls. Five boards for Justine. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Would be a big road win if we can win this one. Sounds likes it been close throughout. |

End of 3rd qtr, 47-42, Elon. Time to put together a good 4th qtr on the road. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

4th qtr, 8:27, 51-44. Cats call timeout.
4:58, 54-49, Elon. Lead was up to 10. Ugly 4th qtr both ways. Reffing uneven both ways.
3:22, 54-53, 9-0 run, Elon to the line... make, make, down 3.
Sarah shoots a pair... make, miss, down 2.
2:34, 56-54, Elon back to the line... make, make, down 4.
Elon gets a run-out, down 6, then a steal, FTs for Elon coming after the timeout...make, make, down 8.
Cats claw back with a quick 6-0 run. 33.7 seconds, 62-60, Elon, Cats to inbound, 23 seconds on the shot clock. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.
