I got a handwritten thank you note from a freshman pitcher for supporting the team last year. He included his jersey number. So I hope I attend a game where he gets a chance to pitch, since I have an extra reason to pull for him.

Little personal touches like that and football players showing up at the house for a photo op and to deliver tickets give a sense of thoughtfulness on the part of folks in the programs. I hope it also personalizes a bit for the players the sense that we are behind them.
