Game Two of this weird, somewhat chancy rematch. Will Carter Collins repeat as the winner of this round? _________________ “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— Jeff Bridges as The Dude in "The Big Lebowski" |

Carter. Headed toward another unanimous vote tally and yet another frosty. His dunk at the end of the half energized the crowd of mostly old geezers (including me) and epitomized the award. His extended family, in attendance, were thrilled. _________________ “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— Jeff Bridges as The Dude in "The Big Lebowski" |

CC, the only thing that may stop him this season is an extended stay in the starting line up. |

We're approaching totalitarian plebiscite voting percentages.

My daughter won the dunk contest. So my vote goes to her. |

Yeah! She calmly trounced those boys with their fancy-schmancy moves! _________________ “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— Jeff Bridges as The Dude in "The Big Lebowski" |

Most definitely and rather high-pitched. Those young ladies may have fainted if they had come to the women's game and seen him dancing in his highly distressed jeans during the music in breaks.
Speaking of high-pitched sounds: I vote honorable mention to David Pfohl, who set the indoor record for pitching the Star Spangled Banner in the stratosphere. He asked us to sing along. As the notes got higher, he dropped down an octave, and I didn't. As we approached the word "free," which is normally on a high F, I knew I would need a lot of air and support. So I tried belting it out as best I could. That had to be at least an A. It was not my finest vocal moment, speaking of high pitched squealing.
I told David at the half that every now and then it is good for me to be reminded that I'm not really a tenor.
He sang the SSB also at the women's game. He started a little lower but still on the high side, and did not drop down the octave. At the Christmas Gala on Monday and Wednesday, he will be singing bass, and I will be pretending to sing tenor as usual. I'm sorry to miss the women's game Monday. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |
