Nickeil Alexander-Walker â€" Virginia Tech (MVP)
Carsen Edwards â€" Purdue
Justin Robinson â€" Virginia Tech
Ronshad Shabazz â€" Appalachian State
Markis McDuffie â€" Wichita State
Uh, okay. Congratulations to the representatives from the 1st, 2nd, 6th, and worst teams in the field. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

If we’re being fair, only JAG has an argument to be on this list. His line of 17/5/3 is stout but the other guys averaged (McDuffie) 23/5, (Shabazz) 21/3/3, (Edwards) 27/4/3, (Robinson) 19/5/2, and (Nickeil) 22/3/6. No qualms here. |

There are multiple Wildcats more deserving than Ronshad Shabazz or McDuffie. McDuffie had his shot at JAG. JAG covered him a good bit and scored 33. And won. Shabazz put up good numbers but went 0-3. He catapulted his team to a dead last finish. I'd have JAG on that list over Shabazz. The most important stat has to be wins and losses. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. If we keep playing the way we've been playing, we should expect to be slighted for a lot of individual awards this year. That's not a criticism. We had three different guys lead the team in scoring this weekend and a fourth who didn't lead us in scoring in any of the three games but was one of our top 3 scorers in all three games.
Based on what I've seen so far, at the end of the year Kellan and JAG should both be all A-10, and Luke and Luka should be all-rookie. I don't expect the coaches to give us 4 of the 20 spots. And if they do, I expect Kellan and/or JAG to be on a lower team than they deserve. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

How does the last-place team get a player on this list? But really it was a team effort from Davidson, not one player who consistently showed out. |
