Charlotte is leading Longwood 42-39 at the half. Oh wait... What’s that? That’s the final?!? |

In other action, the 49'ers held Longwood to 39 points. And won by 3. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Neither of these teams is relevant to DU but since we're going there, I'm just going to point out that at halftime Rutgers led Eastern Michigan 31-4.
Edit: neither of the teams in MY post is relevant. I know that we play UNCC. |

Temple may play more games against A10 teams this year than when they were in the league. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

VCU 28, Temple 21 at the half.
I watched a little of Richmond's game. Very impressively bad. They'll save their best games of the year for us.
Bonnies are missing too many players.
UMass rolled. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

VCU beats Temple.
Maybe, just maybe, the league is setting itself up for multiple bids this year. IF the bottom of the conference teams are bad enough that they can't put any bad losses on the four or five teams that are having good OOC runs, maybe we get some tourny love.
Here's the A10 records thus far:
TEAM CONF GB OVR
Saint Louis 0-0 -- 4-0
VCU 0-0 -- 4-0
Dayton 0-0 -- 3-0
Duquesne 0-0 -- 3-0
Davidson 0-0 -- 4-1
Fordham 0-0 -- 4-1
Rhode Island 0-0 -- 2-1
Saint Joseph's 0-0 -- 3-2
UMass 0-0 -- 3-2
Richmond 0-0 -- 2-2
George Mason 0-0 -- 1-3
St. Bonaventure 0-0 -- 1-3
La Salle 0-0 -- 0-4
G W 0-0 -- 0-5
Has anyone found a site that uses the new NET system to rank teams? _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

The NCAA is not planning to release the formula or algorithm they are using to compute the NET ratings. (Hmm..) So the only source for finding the ratings will be the NCAA website.
The ratings should come out some time soon, late november or early december, and be updated daily through march. I think we'll probably hear about it from ESPN & other talking heads when the first release happens. |

Mason, GW, Richmond have looked like the worst. Fordham probably will end up down there too, but at least they've been finding ways to beat bad teams. |

I read that the NET system will be very similar to the quadrant system. If we are using kenpom rankings, we have 2 Quadrant 2 wins and a Quadrant 1 loss, St. louis has a quad 1 win, Joe’s has a Q3 win and 2 Q1 losses, and finally VCU has a Q2 win. URI, Dayton, and Duquesne all have decent, yet not Q1 or Q2, wins. We are certainly on our way to building a good resume but the Northeastern/Wake/Temple games will all be critical. |

As understand it, they will still use the quadrant system but teams places within the quadrants will be based on this secret NET formula. Maybe the cats stats team will be able to reverse engineer it since I think we know the components of the rating, we just don’t know the weight given to each component.
One interesting component is margin of victory up to 10 points. You might see teams with a 7 point lead, the ball, and the shot clock off go for a basket to improve their NET. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

Seriously though. Is there an offense being run on either end? |
