That happened to the first scoreboard at the "Blowed Up Coliseum" on Tyvola Road in Charlotte 30 years ago.

Maybe they have pictures of the catastrophe at new Panera on Tyvola Road.

Breaking news for sure.

I remember when it happened at the Charlotte coliseum. My memory is, while the coliseum was under construction they were raising the thing and the motor wouldn't shut off. Continued to run until it broke the cable.

Can you imagine the sound?
