Tirelessly working to stamp out fun like a pickup soccer game with a rock band. Can't be having that sort of thing at an establishment of higher learning. Think what it would do to the august reputations of these virtuous institutions.

Does this preclude Steph from shooting hoops with Davidson players? He is a much bigger celebrity than Foo Fighters.

Only if there are coaches present and it’s during a blackout period.
Getting past the headline, the violation was not because Foo was there, it was because coaches were the week before finals of the off season semester.
The debate here really is: should there be any time of year when coaches cannot be involved in player practices or scrimmages. And, I guess, should there be exceptions to that rule if Dave Grohl is present.
