Time to get our mojo back. 7 pm, Wednesday, in Philly. We won our last game at Tom Gola Arena, which was in 2016.

#246 at #313. 56%. 66-63.

La Salle is 8-19 overall, 3-11 in the A10. They have wins at #129 Saint Louis and against #67 Penn. Worst showing is either a 21-point home loss to #336 Rider, or their 9-point loss at #531 URI. Tough team to figure.

The Explorers are led by 6-1 G/F Amy Griffin, 14.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1st team pre-season all-A10. Their other double-figure scorer is 5-11 G Adreana Miller at 14 ppg. 5-5 PG Shaquana Edwards contributes 9.1 ppg and 3.1 apg. Those three players have taken 323 of La Salle's 346 three point attempts this season. 6-2 F/C Shalina Miller averages roughly 8 ppg and 5 rpg.

42% FG, 33% 3FG, 70% FT. Minus 6 in turnovers, not good.

Go Cats!

Big game for seeding purposes. We need to win our last two and Richmond needs to lose their last two for us to finish 8th and host a 1st Round A10 game. Spiders host UMass tonight and play at GW Saturday afternoon. We can still finish anywhere between 8th and 12th.

Starters... Kianna, Katie, Saadia, Ally, Mackenzie.

All three of my teams picked the same time to play this evening. Hyper-threading.

Both teams, man-to-man.

Under 5 timeout, 9-6, Cats. Katie has 5.

2:24 left 1st qtr, 14-6, Cats. La Salle not looking good at all. They call timeout.

End of 1st qtr, 16-8, Cats. Mackenzie has 6. Only 1 Cat turnover.

2nd qtr, 3:09, 27-12, Cats. Katie has 10, Mckenzie with 8.

Halftime, 29-18. Two (2) Wildcat turnovers. Katie and Mackenzie both in double figures with 10.

Justine has 4 -- inching closer to 1000.

After a good 1st qtr, Cats are now shooting 37.5% from the floor for the game. Explorers switched to a zone in the 2nd qtr. La Salle is at 25% shooting.

3rd qtr, 3 minutes, 37-33, Cats. Explorers finally making some of the easy shots they've been getting and are on a 15-5 run. La Salle also pressing full court.

End of 3rd qtr, 42-38, Cats. Justine's next point will be her 1000th.

4th qtr, 7:18, Katie splits a pair, 47-44, Cats.

4:32, 47-46. Timeout. Refs letting 'em play. Cats now being outshot, 35% to 32%.

3:18, 52-46. Layup by Sarah, yet another dagger three from Katie.

2:42, 52-49, Cats ball.

1:05, still 52-49, Cats call timeout.

33 seconds, same score, loose ball, Explorers get it and call time, 6 seconds on the clock.

Air ball, 26 seconds, Cats call timeout, up three. Pressure and fouls forthcoming.

22 seconds, Mackenzie with a pair... make, make, up 5.

Kianna with the deflection off a La Salle player. Cats ball. Foul. Katie to the line... make, make, up 7.

La Salle scores, Mackenzie FTs again... make, make.

** Final, 58-51, Cats win. It wasn't pretty, but we finished nicely, didn't we? And it's another road win.

UMass beat Richmond, 58-49. Only one game behind now. Still a chance at a tournament home game.

Eight (8) turnovers by Davidson this evening. Excellent. Perfect from the FT line down the stretch. Excellent.

Katie led the way for us tonight with 18 pts and 4 asts, including the dagger three late. Double-double for Mackenzie with 16 pts, 10 rebs, 3 blks, and 2 stls. Justine had 7 -- she's at 999 points.

Mackenzie's next rebound will tie her for 2nd on the all-time list.

Katie's next assist will be her 100th this season.

Up next... VCU at home. The Rams beat Saint Louis in OT tonight. We'll need to be at our best.

Thanks to the women and chantilly for the win and the excellent account of the game!

A win at home and a loss by Richmond earns us a home opener in the A10 Tournament. Go Cats!

I was able to find some older data.

Katie's 99 assists ties her for the best single season ever by a Wildcat freshman. The player she's tied with recently had her jersey retired.

If she can match JOB's sophomore season, we are in for a treat. That was one of the greatest seasons in Davidson basketball history. 27 games, 45.5% shooting behind the arc, 5 rebounds/game, almost 7 assists/game, 86 steals, 461 points, 18-9 overall, 12-4 in the conference.
