St. Joes rolled to a 19 point win at heavily favored Duquesne today. They’re now 7-5 in the conference. We’re tied with Richmond at 5-7 and we hold the tiebreaker over them. If we can stay at least even with Richmond, it's fairly certain we'll earn a home game in the 1st round of the A10 tournament.

Here’s what the three teams have left:

Code:
Davidson          Richmond        St. Joes
--------          --------        --------
St. Joes (47%)    @Bona (49%)     @Davidson (53%)
@UMass (57%)      VCU (80%)       La Salle (84%)
@La Salle (54%)   UMass (76%)     GW (37%)
VCU (79%)         @GW (12%)       @Fordham (14%)

If you “run the numbers”, the most likely 4-game finish for each team is 2-2. We’re the most likely to finish 3-1, which is almost as likely as our 2-2 finish. But I don’t think numbers mean a great deal right now.

We still have a good shot at catching St. Joes, provided we beat them on Wednesday and secure the tiebreaker. Dynamic G/F Chelsea Woods has returned for the Hawks after going through concussion protocol.

Richmond at Bona on Wednesday is also a key "coin flip" game, obviously. For the Bonnies, versatile G Mckenna Maycock (11+ ppg, 6+ rpg) has returned to the lineup, as has much needed inside presence C Abigail Johnson (7+ rpg). Both were out when we played them.

Maycock suffered a PCL knee injury (as opposed to ACL or MCL) in mid-December. She would have returned sooner if not for a kidney infection in January. Terrible luck for the Bonnies this year.

Go Cats!
