There seems to be a common sentiment (from the Observer and both boards) that we shot really well? Am I missing something? We went 10-30 from 3, I don't think I need to say that we are vastly capable of much better. |

I found that pretty strange as well. We shot better, but not great. This game could very easily have been 30+ points. Maybe we'll shoot really well against UNCW or Winthrop. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Recency bias?
We shot really well in the second half. Take away the 3 misses after the starters left the game and we were 7-16 from 3, 7-9 from 2 and 6-6 from the line.
Our first half 3 point shooting was not good, except for Kellan. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

Yes and Mike Jones got hurt vs W&L, not Dartmouth. Also, the box score doesn't list all of the players that got into the game for the Wildcats. |

We shot 52% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. Anything over 50% from the field is usually considered shooting well. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

I think when people think of "shooting", they think of things other than layups. Last night we were 10/30 from 3, not very good, but okay. On non-layup 2's we were 3/7, again not very good.
The key was that 17 of our 24 2's were layups, and we made 15 of them, which actually is a great percentage, and a great number of layup attempts, just not what people think of as shooting. |

I thought we shot pretty well at home against Fordham last year and that game was one extended layup drill. |

I hope we have 35 attempts at 2's that are layups the next game and shoot 71% again. We will win a ton of basketball games. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

Perhaps the biggest sign that they are no good- the lack of trolls here. |

It was nice to see all the former players in the arena last night. Of all the former players, the one I think about for the UNCC game is David Burns. R.I.P. Optimus. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

7-1 or better starts, correct? Twice recently, 14-15 and 15-16, 08-09 and 69-70,come to mind. |
