That’s a big if. A more likely if: if we keep playing like this we’re going to lose to Northeastern our next two games in a row. |

If we can get out of this weekend 2-1 with a loss to Purdue, that’s a good outcome long term. |
True. IF we get by Northeastern, that would be a sure Top 100 win on our resume at the end of the year and Wichita State will probably be hovering around Top 100 also. |

I get what you're saying as Northeastern is a very good and dangerous team, but I do want to point out that they got drilled today just as badly as we did. |

Ugh! Moving on. Purdue was very good; we were not. |

I am not worried or shocked that we lost to Purdue, Purdue IS a top 15 team with a top 10 player. I am worried that our offense looks awful and no one can hit a three. Next two games are BIG. We need to win both against Northeastern. The win over wichita was still critical though, even if they look down. |

I am not sure why Coach didn't try some zone. _________________ "They were energized by this move to the A-10. How could you not be?" McKillop said. "The tree is filled with a lot of presents." |

Tough game. Purdue is good. Saw some good flashes from some of the young guys. We’ll be fine. |

They had 4 seniors last year. They rebuilt quickly.
One was Isaac Haas, the big man who broke his arm or elbow late in the season. Several of their engineering professors worked on devices that would have allowed Haas to play without further risk of injury. He wasn't able to play in the NCAA Tournament.
They have a lot more talent than we do. |

Please god Justice come to Davidson
Rebound issue is because we have no athletic bigs with size to match theirs and or we play heavy guard lineup. So Achilles heal for now
Shooting has to be better - especially in lineup we’re showcasing
Some good things lot of bad things/ humbling game were not as good as Purdue. But we can learn and adapt.
Just don’t f up these next two games |

To be fare, Cleveland State was much like an NCAA play in game and Purdue was the first rounder. In that perspective that is a tough task for a young team to handle in back to back nights.
I think what has everyone worried is that we are just not hitting our wide open shots. Grady was in a funk and hopefully the finally 6 minutes may get him out of that. Also at this point Ekwu, Kusan, and Luka < McGarity. I hope Harm didn't apply Jedi mind games to Luka. _________________ "They were energized by this move to the A-10. How could you not be?" You really think 3rd in the A10/NIT bid is overrated? _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

Bah Humbug. No way to put a happy face on this drubbing. Nonetheless, should Purdue shoot threes as they did tonite, they will be a Final Four team. Therefore, best response is to skip watching film, move forward and play angry on Sunday. Go Cats - we still want to believe. _________________ All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for men of good will to do nothing. Eddie Burke

Were still doing much better now than we were at last years holiday tournament! We will get significantly better and shots will start to fall as the season goes on, its going to take time though. Not only did we lose an all time great in Peyton, we also lost all of our healthy big men from last year and Rusty as the first guy off the bench. We essentially came into the season with three players that had meaningful minutes last year, I trust we can put it together as the season progresses especially with how we turned things around in A10 play last year.
If we win on Sunday the tournament will still have been a pretty good success, even if the game today wasnt as close as we would have liked. |

It looked as if, on a number of those open shots, that a pass was not received cleanly, or in rhythm. Also feet were not set and bodies squared up, even when the shooter was wide open. |
