My neighborhood and the one next to it were recently decorated with yellow ribbons.

Yeah, I noticed yellow ribbons all over town Tuesday night. Any idea why they were up?

He was at least aware of the irony of having a big hit "I Write the Songs," which he didn't write.

There are a few among us here who recall seeing Barry Manilow perform at DU in January of '72; he was keyboard player and arranger for one Bette Midler who sang late night downstairs in Chambers in an intimate nightclub-like set-up following The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band;her second set started around midnight, I guess. It remains one of my favorite of performances. And for all of Manilow's subsequent sins, there remains for him with me that small measure of absolution.

GO CATS!

Mrs. DC69 and I are planning to get on the bus.

You'll stay on the bus, forget about us, put the blame on me?

Something is seriously wrong when a formerly respected board member starts posting Tony Orlando lyrics (I had to google it). Is Barry Manilow next?

Music and passion were always the fashion.

In honor/memory of Patrick Braxton-Andrew.

Our Massey has updated again. Tomorrow's game is now #42 at #220. 76%. 80-72. 42 is a good number. https://www.masseyratings.com/team.php?t=2069&s=305972

Look at Massey's predicted scores for us. He has us losing at UNC and at Rhode Island. That'd work.

GO CATS!

It looks like we will make it to the event. Tim is going to a funeral in the morning, but we should arrive between 3:30 and 4:00, party of two.

The Monroe Expressway will help. Anyone know about installing transponders? Specifically, my windshield has black dots in an area around the mirror. Do I need to avoid that?

To Mephisto's point, the Midler tour to Chambers Basement was the first time she left the bathhouses of NYC. A testament to C. Shaw Smith's eye for talent (although he refused to book the Allman Brothers after their debut album because they wanted an extra $250).

I recall that Bette had difficulty appreciating the audience, although she did flash us. . .

Kentucky should do better than a 12 seed.

dorp, JAM1 and JAM2, and I are ensconced in the remote Wildcat Den. Close enough to make the game, but far enough from Trask to make a house by house search by the authorities impractical.
