These aren't called for very often but, yes, it's time for another one.
We're only allowed to leave it there until today's first tip, so don't expect to see it on TV.

I regularly pulled for Jake Cohen to beat SoCon opponents during the first half. I would ignore our other players’ scores.
As I walked back to the hotel from the post-game celebration, a group of Shocker fans came up behind me and saw “Davidson†emblazoned on the back of my jacket. Before I even noticed them, they were congratulating me.
They were understandably effusive about JAG, and I said, “He’s not even our star.†We had a nice conversation about our teams the rest of my walk.
Tim texted me that he had breakfast with some Purdue fans. I’m heading down to eat shortly. We haven’t seen any other Wildcat fans in this hotel. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

The Icelandic cross is very apropos. Here's hoping we soon get a chance to be reminded of what the Mass state flag looks like.
I think I recall a Maple Leaf flag on WCU's court for a Nick Cochran effort. |

They asked coach to sum up that WCU game in a single sentence, and he said something like, "Nik saved the day!"
Compare that with his comment about Jon last night: "He scores 30 points and thinks he can call me Bob."

Over the last two games, the Wildcats have led for 16:39 of the 80 minutes played. |

That's classic. Love it.
I also had a flashback of walking down the alley outside that arena, where you can look through the windows at the press conference. I think it was following a tough loss to Clemson that time. I miss being in Chaston. _________________ The artist formerly known as Freehold. |

That reminds me that Georgia was probably one of the better OOC wins Davidson has had since Kansas. That game gets pushed aside in memory due to the blowout loss and serious Brooks injury the next day against Clemson. |

I also remember Jake Cohen having 29 in the first half against somebody, maybe Wofford, but I can't recall if he outscored the other team. Jake followed up that first half with either 0 or 2 in the second, which didn't matter as the game was sealed by the half.

A decent analogy to JAG's scoring effort down the stretch in a close game is Curry vs. Gonzaga. When any kind of analogy involves #30, we're talking about a memorable performance. |

De'Mon's shout of pain from the court silenced everybody. It was rattling. _________________ The artist formerly known as Freehold. |

I did see some Davidson fans at a distance at breakfast. In the buffet line behind me were Shocker fans, a mom and two young boys, the older being maybe 8. She was trying to explain to him that your team can be ahead the whole game almost, but you lose if not still ahead at the end. She told me when he was 3 he pulled for Davidson because of a similarity to his first name. His last name is similar to Purdue, so she asked him was he going by his first or last name for our game. He promised he would keeping pulling for Davidson except when playing the Shockers. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

Playing Purdue and not App State must give our lads an extra pep in their step. That's not a dig at Foxy or App.
A loss to Purdue won't harm Davidson's RPI and a win will have a major boost come March. There's no positive outcome going into the losers bracket after Game 1. JAG knew that.
Job well done CATS!! |

Cohen had 25 or so in the first half against Montana, although the Grizz managed to push that game to OT. Very possible there is a SoCon demolition I'm forgetting _________________ Carthago delenda est
